If so-called “Libertarianism” made any sense at all, why don’t Libertarian candidates ever get elected?

Are you joking? Corporations shovel money at libertarians.
They are the perfect shills for corporate rule.
Sheep, sheep, sheep! If people are such sheep, why do you want to give them MORE freedom?

They don’t rely on corporations to fund their campaigns.

In other words, they aren’t bought.

EDIT: A true libertarian would never sell out to a corporation. It’s a reason to promote corporatism and that’s one of the main things that libertarians oppose.

Because you are a damned brainwashed sheep who votes a straight democratic ticket every time just like the sheep on the other side of the fence who vote a straight republican ticket. Every thing else is a wasted vote right, moron? Yea voting for republicans and democrats has so enriched our country and spread freedom. This SOB is doomed. It doesn’t matter who you vote for. At least they aren’t completely insane to think that swapping between these two corporate owned, fascist parties over and over will ever change anything.

The education system is f-ed up to the point that the general public in america does not have the mental capacity to recognize the validity of libertarian beliefs. There are more uninformed voters than ever who don’t consider policy when picking a candidate. People would rather vote for Obama because he’s black or Bush because they feel like they could have a beer with him than hurt themselves trying to understand Ron Paul’s positions.

The thing about common sense is that it’s not common at all.
    Vote Gary Johnson (R) 2012.

Elections do not always make sense. Cases in point: Jesse Ventura, Al Franken, and Ted Kennedy.

Currently, the nation is center-right. Libertarians are much more to the right for today’s temperature. But we can only hope for the awakening that’s needed to stop this train wreck of bigger and bigger government.
